Rumor: Google To Offer Free WiFi To Nation
Via tech.memeorandum, there are rumors that Google has plans to expand their current wifi efforts, to cover the whole nation. Danny discussed Google's efforts to expand to other cities and the privacy concerns around that in the past. The rumors spring from a comment Larry Page made in the 1st quarter earnings call. In that call, he said Google was looking to "expand" the network, but did not reject rumors about the scope encompassing nation-wide access.
