LonelyPlanet Adds Ads to Orbit

LonelyPlanet.com, the Web site complement to the well-known travel book series, is beginning to take graphical ads on its site for the first time. The New York start-up Travel Ad Network is repping the inventory.

Interestingly, the site is preparing visitors for the debut of advertising with a series of house ads with taglines like "Relax, this won't hurt a bit."
