Internet and Interactive at WPP

Trudging through WPP Group's impressive results released today I caught this little tidbit in a discusson if the holding company's media business: "Direct, internet and interactive related activities now account for over 15% of the Group's revenues, which are running at the rate of approximately $10 billion per annum."

Of course, since direct is included, too, it's hard to tell how much is specifically coming from Internet and interactive, but it's nonetheless an interesting figure.

For the full year 2004, WPP said Internet alone represented $400 million in revenues, or 5 percent of worldwide revenue.
