Travel Search Site Travelocity Launches Toolbar
As we all know, the economy has been volatile, which usually bodes not-so-well for industries that are on the indulgent side. But Travelocity is aiming to keep vacations on the minds of consumers by releasing a toolbar.
It may seem like bad timing, but with a constant presence of travel deals and sales, it could end up being a good strategy.
Plus, Travelocity is hitting all the online hot spots in attempt to promote the new toolbar. Facebook, Twitter, their blog, search ads and display ads will all be part of the campaign.
The toolbar was built on Conduit. Last year, Travelocity launched an iPhone app, which enables mobile travel search on the go.

great posts. Thanks for the info.. being on a travel, you can miss a lot of things. But thanks to technology, you can still know the updates and all you need to know even on a travel.

This isn't just about being able to gain travel information on the road, this is a great step for Travelocity.
Travel probably isn't on the top of anyone's mind these days but this new tool bar puts Travelocity front and center.
Easy access to travel information doesn't just keep you informed, it sparks your interest. Getting your name out there is what marketing is all about. And if you can touch one user that wasn't on their way to your site already, the toolbar just paid off. It's done its job of getting user to search, now it's up to Travelocity to sell them.
Great job!
