Former eBay CEO Bids For California Governor Job
Meg Whitman, former CEO of eBay, has announced she will seek the Republican nomination for California governor. Whitman is know to be a social moderate but a fiscal conservative.
"California faces challenges unlike any other time in its history -- a weak and faltering economy, massive job losses, and an exploding state budget deficit," LA Times reported Whitman said in a written statement. "California is better than this, and I refuse to stand by and watch it fail."
Interestingly, her site is taking donations for the campaign through PayPal - the online payment platform owned by eBay. I expect her opponents will be checking if she is getting a favored rate.
Former California Republican Governor Pete Wilson will be campaign chairman.
The Republican primary is shaping up to be a battle of the Silicon Valley giants, as her major competitors Steve Poizner - tech entrepeneur who sold his company to Qualcom for $1 billion and Tom Campbell, former Silicon Valley congressman.

And what will another Republican have to offer but more Social Darwinism? The problem with Right-wing ideology is that at its core lies the idea that it's morally acceptable to let poor people starve to death. This has always been the fundamental principle. Well, thanks, but no thanks. If you're not for the People, do society a favor and stay home.

I totally agreed with Mozelle . This former ebay exec is a crook. They used paypal to hold your money for months without interested. The company is getting sue left and for unethical business practices. You can view these complains about her company at paypalsuck.com. This lady ruin so many small business selling products on ebay and using paypal. I dont think this woman should be running the state of California.

This woman took a great company called eBay and flushed it down the toilet! She left eBay in shambles and her investors holding the bag while she cashed out to billions! She cares nothing for middle class or poor people! She will rip California apart!

She is a right wing conservative Liar! She only loves rich people and herself! She thinks small people are nothing but little worker ants that should serve the rich!
