Nielsen Online December 2008 Search Engine Share Rankings

Nielsen Online has released its search engine share rankings for December 2008. Google had a big year-over-year gain with Yahoo, AOL and Ask seeing modest increases as well. Live Search didn't fare so well:

Wow, Google's Search Engine Share is up almost 20% up compared to the same month last year. Dec 2007

any way to tell how much of the "surfing" is from SEO Companies checking rankings or individuals checking their own ranking? Part of me believes a great deal of searches are conducted by people looking to be #1, as opposed to those looking for something.
