Google Launches New Metric Tool, Insights for Search
Google has launched a new metric geared towards marketers: Google Insights for Search. The tool is very similar to Google Trends, but includes "Rising Searches" and a map representing Regional Interest, which is also broken down by ballpark figure numbers.
Check out these screenshots for a better idea of what the tool is like, then go try it for yourself. (Don't forget to come back and leave a comment about your first impressions of the tool!)

This is GREAT data that Google is sharing! The regional interest data is especially tantalizing.

It seems to consolidate some of the features which were separately available elsewhere, which is a good thing. Great Tool. I agree with Al Scillitani that Google does well by sharing this.

Now, this is what I'm talkin' about! The more you can find out about your site, the better. Awesome!

I am glad Google is starting to share more detailed search stats with its users. So far, I like the tool. It is easy to use, plus it's free.
