Accoona Now Offering Some D&B Data
The China Daily reports that web engine Accoona is now offering a small amount of company info from the Dun & Bradstreet database for about 14 million U.S. companies.
When Accoona launched several months ago they offered company info but did not say the source of the data.
To access the D&B data, run a search at Accoona and click the business search button. Here's a business search for Yahoo. Clicking either the info link or the D&B button next to each title will open a window with info including:
+ Contact Info
+ Address
+ Company Size
+ Ticker Symbol
A link to purchase a D&B report is also visible.
Useful, sure but the data is sketchy which I think has more to do with Accoona than D&B. For example, I ran a business search trying to find a record for Accoona and ended up with a link to MidwestChristianMediaInc.
I do see some amount of improvement since the last time I used Accoona especially when trying to find the address/contact info of a corporate headquarters. However, this service still needs plenty more work.
