Nexidia's Phonetic Search Technology
In some of our posts about multimedia searching we've mentioned a company called Nexidia that has developed phonetic search technology that they claim allows for faster indexing and searching of audio material. The InformationWeek article: Speeding The Audio Search Process, has more about the company and their technology. Several Nexida White Papers offer more info including "Phonetic Searching of Digital Audio" which is an interesting read.
