Just Map It!
If you're interested in learning about the companies that provide Google, Yahoo, MSN, Mapquest and many others the data for their digital map services, a Newsweek article: It's the Road Now Taken, offers an overview of the two companies that provide most of the data, Navteq and Tele Atlas.
